Naked® Sports Innovations is a privately-held company headquartered on beautiful Vashon Island, Washington. Two brothers, Lindsay and Rick, founded the business based on strongly held values, including family first, a passion for sports, social and environmental responsibility, and entrepreneurship. Reconciling all of these is not easy, of course, especially with a fast growing business, but we have an approach that we believe will help us achieve our goals. 

MANAGEMENT 

Our studio (aka "World Headquarters!") is located near Seattle and all design, final assembly and shipping are done here. We also develop all new products here. One of our goals is to continue to create jobs close to home. So far so good!

PRODUCTION

 With growing sales in a long list of countries around the world and ferocious competition in the sports accessories and apparel market, we decided that we could only meet demand by contracting with a manufacturer who could deliver high volume, high quality products at a price that made our business viable. And with a partner who’s values aligned with our own. We combed the globe in this search and landed on our current manufacturer based in Los Angeles with facilities in Latin America. As an enterprise founded as a Scandinavian family business (just like us!) we feel it is the perfect fit.

CERTIFICATION 

Our factory, like us, has high expectations when it comes to social responsibility - particularly related to working conditions and labor practices. To ensure effective management and stakeholder transparency, our sewing facility in El Salvador is certified by Worldwide Responsible Accredited Production (WRAP), an independent, objective, not for profit team of global social compliance experts dedicated to promoting safe, lawful, humane and ethical manufacturing around the world through certification and education. Moreover, our factory is required to comply to unannounced audits under the rigorous Fair Labor Association (FLA) certification standard as well. FLA is a collaborative effort of socially responsible companies, colleges and universities, civil society organizations and creates lasting solutions to abusive labor practices by offering tools and resources to companies delivering training to factory workers and management, conducting due diligence through independent assessments and advocating for greater accountability and transparency from companies, manufacturers, factories and others involved in global supply chains. For more information: www.fairlabor.org

Our packaging and paper products are FSC (Forestry Stewardship Council) certified and our plastic products are multiple use PVC, Phthalate and BPA free.
